The Sweet Thames exhibition banners can be loaned out for free to folk clubs and venues across London and other educational, musical or heritage organisations.
The six pull-up banners are relatively easy for two people to erect, take down and pack away and they will come with instructions on how to do this carefully and safely. The exhibition will also be accompanied by a comments book which any people viewing the banners should be encouraged to write in. We would also appreciate you sending us some photos of the exhibition up and displayed in your venue.
The exhibition will need to be signed for, collected from and returned to the Vaughan Williams Memorial Library at Cecil Sharp House, London. Each banner in its case weighs over 3kgs, so transportation needs planning. We will need to know well in advance about when you would like to book the exhibition and for how long. If your organisation doesn’t have any means to transport the exhibition we might be able to offer assistance, but it would be helpful if you could organise this yourselves.
You can see a preview of each banner on the Access Folk website:

To enquire about booking the exhibition email zoe@starcreativeheritage.org giving your organisation name, proposed loan dates and explain how you will transport, display and store the banners.
Thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund for making this possible.
The exhibition on display at the Sweet Thames Exhibition launch event on Saturday 11th February 2023.
