Saturday 11th February, 2.30pm-4.30pm, Cecil Sharp House
Sweet Thames: The London Folk Club Heritage Project has recorded twenty-five oral history interviews for the project and we have been drawing on these and our archival research to produce a transportable exhibition. The exhibition explores a number of themes which were highlighted during the interviews, including early folk club origins, traditions and rules, politics and identities.
We are excited to be able to launch our exhibition in Storrow Hall, Cecil Sharp House on the 11th February 2023 from 2:30pm to 4:30pm.
A buffet lunch will be served on arrival. There will be time to view the exhibition before taking seats at 3:30pm for some short talks and a singaround session, to reflect the nature of the project. Places are very limited and booking is required, so please register here to secure a place.
