Star Creative Heritage are absolutely delighted to announce the launch of “Sweet Thames: The London Folk Club Heritage Project”.
Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and supported by The English Folk Dance and Song Society, The Vaughan Williams Memorial Library, Camden People’s Theatre, The Cellar Upstairs, The Goose is Out, Islington Folk Club, Sharp’s Folk Club, Musical Traditions, Twickfolk, Court Sessions, Croydon Folk Club, Walthamstow Folk Club and Folk London magazine along with other individuals, too many to name in one post.
This project will run until the end of August 2023 and will involve oral history recordings, archival research and digitisation, exhibition creation, volunteer training and support, workshops, events and a final project-inspired touring performance.
